Le Cirque Invisible, GTP.

Fans of the illusive, magical and plain mind boggling will enjoy the world famous and unique circus, headed by Victoria Chaplin ( yes Charlie's daughter!) and her husband. I loved it because it was a mix of circus tricks, make-believe and amazing optical illusions..
I have been impressed by all the great ideas they had such as ducks and rabbits on stage and scenes including umbrellas, tight-wires ( magical!) and unicycles...

Hope you have done some great things too!

Pavillon Noir : Alwin Nikolais, The Crystal and the Sphere

On saturday evening, Maelle and I went to the Pavillon Noir to see The Crystal and the Sphere from Alwin Nikolais, a famous american choregrapher, from the 1980's.

Fantastic and crazy characters such as Outer Space Clown, Centers or Soldiers come and go in a shadowy atmosphere ( weird sounds...). My favourite part was the" Chess skaters" with their futurist and amazing dresses!!

And you, what did you do for the WE?

ALMOST 1 year of Love ;P

haha, My favourite moment still is the first time you walked into Cecile's house :P

since you've already written the moments you'll never forget, I write our moments I'll probably never remember:P (attempted chronological order)

1. Hossegor Beach (the first night I met you = Gin)

2. Poker (tequila) party at Cecile's (puking from the balcony)

3. Prilpop (when I was a girl with free beer)

4. the last night of pukkelpop (god only knows what happened)

that's probably it. 4 times in one year is a pretty poor score :P

XX

One year of Love.

Yeah, this is amazing : 1 year with Paap and love is still here and there..
So many wonderful trips in France, Holland, Belgium and Irlande..

I will never forget :

1. The first night in Hossegor ( he was totally drunk and he wanted to show me some pictures of animals...from a zoo!!) when I tried to kiss him..
2. Our "Carrot eve" , september, 16th
3. The trip to the mountain Ste Victoire
4. Apple pie, "On a 2 zizis" ( 2 days in Paris ) and the " Mooovie" guide at Cezanne's Atelier
5. The day in Amsterdam and EA's CD demo gig
6. The Carnaval party at Anna's
7. Easter in Holland + Maastricht Modern Kunst museum
8. Meffie's house + the day in Utrecht ( a beautiful and charming pizzeria in front of the canals..)
9. The best ice cream of Holland!
10. My bday gift = He came from Holland by car ( 1100km ) just for a week end!!!
11. PUKKELPOP!
12. His bday surprise : 5 days in Dublin = Urban Outfitters, Temple Bar, Grafton Street, Starbuck coffee, second-hand clothes and CD shops, 2stars hotel, Hugh Lane museum, Guinness Bewery....

Paap's weekend

I like the way you have these original theme parties. I've never seen something like that in the Netherlands. So.... Another reason to move to France.(all though all these reasons are not bigger than the main reason not to move there:P Monsieur Nicolas)Okay I'm talking bullshit. I'll get to the point.

I wish I had some pictures of our weekend to show you, but unfortunately I haven't.
But I could tell a short story.

on Saturday Early adopters played in Utrecht in a small bar, it was really cool. After that we slept in Bart's apartment.

on Sunday they played in Breda (crowned as the most beautiful Dutch city of 2009)In a really nice bar.
After that Vic and I went to the birthday party of Imke's father. which was fun.

yesterday we had a guy's day, with loads of food and movies with guns. it was awesome.

xx paap

Our "dinner presque parfait" round 1 : Anna's place.

Yesterday, our " dinner presque parfait" ( a TV show about people who has to cook for others, in order to win a price..) started at Anna's place. We had so much fun! She has done a very good job with the menu, the ambiance and the decoration.
First, the menu called " Let's travel the world" began with a margarita and sushies we ate after "salsa demo" and origami ( Lotus ) , then we had to draw some lines on our hands, to be able to go at Fatima's daughter wedding and eat the oriental taboule ( yummy!). After that, we had to travel a lot : from Tunisia to Italia with the Carbonara pasta, and the famous songs " Ti amo" and " Vivo per Lei" we sang with inspiration and PASSION...
Then, Fanny imitated the Karibou and we could eat the juicy dessert with a canadian touch (maple syrup) and a coktail from New Zealand ( kiwi and apple) : a "clafouti" ( some kind of pudding but better! ) with blueberries and cranberries! Everyone loved it, so it was a perfect end for this almost perfect dinner.

Here are some great pictures. Can't wait for the next round!! (Maelle's place)
